SKAL International Bengaluru, celebrates its Golden Jubilee at Shangri-La Bengaluru, marking 50 years of leadership, camaraderie, and service to the travel and tourism industry in Karnataka and beyond. The event brought together SKAL office-bearers, government officials, dignitaries, and tourism professionals from across India.
The celebrations were inaugurated by D. Venkateshan, Regional Director, India Tourism South, NSN Mohan, SKAL International Vice President 2026 & President Elect 2027, Sanjeev Mehra, SKAL India National President, Manimegalai, President SKAL Bengaluru, and Rohit Hangal, National Secretary SKAL India. President Manimegalai highlighted the club’s journey and its commitment to friendship and sustainable tourism under SKAL’s motto, “Doing Business Among Friends.”
Business Connect Expo
The morning session featured the SKAL@50 Business Connect Expo, a B2B marketplace showcasing over 30 sellersand attracting 150+ buyers from hotels, destinations, DMCs, airlines, and travel service providers. The expo facilitated direct engagement, brand promotion, and partnership opportunities, reinforcing Bengaluru as a key tourism hub.
Evening Gala and Keynote Session
The evening included a keynote by actor, theatre artist, and filmmaker Prakash Belavadi, who emphasized collaboration and creativity in tourism growth. Addresses by NSN Mohan, Shekar Divadkar (President, SKAL Asia), and Sanjeev Mehra highlighted SKAL Bengaluru’s leadership within India and globally. Past presidents were felicitated for their contributions, and the event concluded with the traditional SKAL Toast, entertainment, and a networking dinner celebrating unity and friendship.
