The Israel Ministry of Tourism announces the resumption of Air India’s direct flights between New Delhi (DEL) and Tel Aviv (TLV), set to commence on January 1, 2026. The move aims to strengthen tourism and economic ties between the two nations and cater to the growing demand from Indian travellers.
The service will operate five weekly flights, Sunday to Thursday, using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The direct route reduces travel time significantly, with flights from Tel Aviv departing at 11:40 a.m. and arriving in Delhi at 8:50 p.m., while flights from Delhi depart at 7:00 a.m., arriving in Tel Aviv at 9:55 a.m. This schedule ensures convenient connections for travellers.
“This direct flight is a game-changer for tourism from India,” said Ms. Galit Hoffman, Consul for Tourism Affairs, Israel Ministry of Tourism, India. “It makes exploring Israel’s rich culture, history, and natural beauty easier than ever. The interest shown by Arkia Airlines further highlights the potential of the India–Israel travel corridor.”
In addition, Arkia Airlines is evaluating the reopening of its direct flights to India, potentially connecting cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Goa using its long-range Airbus A321neo LR jets.
The combined efforts of Indian and Israeli carriers reinforce the growing tourism potential and cultural exchange between the countries, promising enhanced travel opportunities for leisure and business visitors in 2026 and beyond.
