VFS Global announces it will begin operating 87 new Slovak visa application centres across 41 countries starting January 2026, followed by 72 additional centres in 42 countries over the duration of the agreement. The initiative aims to standardise application handling and ensure uniform service quality across Slovakia’s global visa network.
With demand for Slovak visas continuing to rise, countries such as India, Turkey, Uzbekistan, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, and the UAE are expected to account for nearly 70% of total applications during the contract period.

Across all Slovak visa application centres, VFS Global will provide a range of optional, value-added services to enhance convenience, including:

These services are optional and do not influence visa decisions or processing timelines.
VFS Global’s Role
VFS Global will manage administrative and front-end operations, including:

Conducting biometric enrolment

Managing applicant appointments and logistics
The final decision to approve or refuse a visa remains exclusively with Slovak embassies or authorised Schengen authorities.
