Introducing a Storied Riverside Retreat in the Mekong Delta

Nestled among eight hectares of tropical gardens on Au Islet, Legacy Mekong, Can Tho offers guests an immersive experience in the natural rhythms and cultural richness of the Mekong Delta—often called the “Rice Basket of Vietnam.” Just a three-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, the property features design inspirations drawn from mangroves, banyan trees, and fruit orchards.

Guests are welcomed with palm-leaf woven bracelets, herbal infusions, and traditional blessings before retreating to one of the 86 elegantly designed bungalows and private pool villas, each overlooking the river, lake, or gardens.

The resort highlights the Mekong Delta’s enchanting yet underexplored charm through organic cuisine, authentic cultural encounters, and local adventures. Dining showcases the region’s rich culinary heritage, including locally sourced Vietnamese favorites and the signature “Breakfast with a Story”, where each dish is paired with the tale of its origin.

Autograph Collection Hotels are guided by a clear vision and story that make each property unique and “exactly like nothing else.” At Legacy Mekong, guest wellbeing is nurtured through multi-sensory wellness offerings, including a hydrotherapy spa, yoga and Pilates studio, and a meditation pavilion. Families will appreciate the vibrant children’s club, while the courtyard pool, gong rituals, and herbal refreshments enhance the sense of calm and connection.

In keeping with the brand’s storytelling ethos, guests depart with a symbolic linen pouch filled with seeds—an invitation to “carry the Mekong home.”
