The International Cricket Council (ICC) unveils a global, multi-year partnership with Marriott Bonvoy aimed at enhancing the fan experience at ICC Events by providing access to premium accommodation worldwide for cricket fans travelling to watch international matches.
Announced in Mumbai, the collaboration appoints the award-winning travel platform as the ICC’s Official Accommodation Partner through to 2029. The partnership spans all ICC men’s events, beginning with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to take place in India and Sri Lanka from 7 February.
This announcement follows the ICC’s recent partnerships with Hyundai Motor and AB InBev, further strengthening its global commercial portfolio, which already includes brands such as Emirates, Aramco, DP World, Sobha and Coca-Cola, along with Google and Unilever as partners for ICC women’s events.
The association with Marriott Bonvoy underscores the growing commercial value of ICC Events and highlights how leading global brands are engaging meaningfully with cricket fans worldwide. By bringing together cricket and travel, the partnership will leverage Marriott Bonvoy’s global network of more than 450 properties across key ICC host markets to support fans, teams, officials and ICC stakeholders.
Fans attending ICC tournaments will be able to stay across Marriott Bonvoy’s extensive hotel portfolio and access curated experiences through official travel packages offered via ICC Travel and Tours. The collaboration will also extend to select ICC events and conferences, enabling joint initiatives such as cricket-led content, local activations and enhanced engagement with Marriott Bonvoy members.
Commenting on the partnership, Jay Shah, Chairman of the ICC, said the collaboration reflects a shared ambition to transform how fans experience cricket. He noted that combining the global reach of the sport with Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of world-class destinations creates a strong platform that connects cricket with memorable travel experiences across leading cricketing nations. He added that the partnership aligns with the ICC’s long-term vision of working with respected global brands that deliver meaningful value beyond visibility.
Sanjog Gupta, CEO of the ICC, said the organisation remains focused on elevating the overall experience at cricket’s premier events. While the on-field action is central, he emphasised that travel, hospitality and cultural elements play a vital role in shaping fan memories. He added that Marriott Bonvoy’s international presence and commitment to elevated experiences make it an ideal partner to enrich fans’ journeys across global ICC events.
Rajeev Menon, President for Asia Pacific excluding China at Marriott International, highlighted cricket’s ability to unite fans across countries. He said the partnership enables Marriott Bonvoy to connect with over two billion cricket fans while creating bespoke cricket-related experiences for its 260 million members, with a particular focus on markets such as India, Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
Satya Anand, President for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Marriott International, described the partnership as a way to turn a shared passion for cricket into unforgettable journeys. He said the collaboration will allow Marriott Bonvoy to bring fans closer to ICC events through exclusive experiences, both on and off the field, while welcoming them to its hotels around the world.
The ICC, as the global governing body for cricket, represents 110 member nations and oversees major international tournaments, including the Men’s and Women’s Cricket and T20 World Cups. It is also responsible for maintaining professional standards, appointing match officials, combating corruption, and supporting the development and growth of the sport worldwide.
