FLY91 launches daily Kochi–Agatti flights as part of major regional expansion

FLY91 announces the launch of daily non-stop flights between Kochi and Agatti in the Lakshadweep islands, with bookings now open in both directions. The new service marks the first phase of a broader network expansion, with seven new stations set to be added over the next 90 days as part of FLY91’s strategic growth plan.

The upcoming stations include Kochi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Hubballi, Dabolim, Nanded, and Indore, bringing FLY91’s network to 15 destinations once operational. The expansion will be supported by a fleet of six ATR 72-600 aircraft, with three additional aircraft scheduled for induction within the next 45 days, enabling higher frequencies and new city pairs while maintaining operational reliability.

The Kochi–Agatti service strengthens FLY91’s presence in southern India and improves access to the Lakshadweep islands, complementing existing Agatti–Goa flights. Agatti Island, known for its coral reefs, lagoons, and pristine beaches, is emerging as a key tourism destination. Enhanced air connectivity is expected to support sustainable tourism while improving travel options for island residents who rely on limited transport links for education, healthcare, and commerce.

“The launch of daily Kochi–Agatti flights adds momentum to regional aviation in India,” said Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and CEO of FLY91. “We are pleased to welcome Kochi into our growing network and reaffirm our commitment to the residents of Agatti. Aspirational tier-two and tier-three destinations will drive India’s next phase of growth, and improved regional connectivity is key to unlocking that potential.”

The phased expansion will commence in early February with daily Kochi–Agatti flights, followed by additional services including thrice-daily Rajahmundry–Hyderabad and Vijayawada–Hyderabad flights, daily Hubballi–Hyderabad and Hubballi–Bengaluru services, and new connections from Nanded and Indore to South Goa, Bengaluru, Jalgaon, and Hyderabad. Final flight schedules will be updated in the reservation system in due course.

Headquartered in Ribandar, Goa, FLY91 currently operates nine destinations, focusing on tier-two and tier-three markets while also serving regional hubs including Goa, Hyderabad, Pune, and Bengaluru. The airline’s network expansion and fleet growth reflect its commitment to enhancing regional connectivity across India.
