Sun Siyam Group announces the promotion of Deepak Booneady to Group Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 January 2026. The appointment marks a significant milestone in the Group’s ongoing evolution, underscoring its focus on long-term growth, brand elevation, and purpose-driven leadership.
Deepak has played a central role in the Group’s transformation during his tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Sun Siyam Resorts. Under his leadership, the resort portfolio strengthened its brand positioning, elevated guest experience philosophies, and advanced key strategic initiatives that honour the Group’s island heritage while enhancing its global luxury appeal.
During this period, Sun Siyam continued to expand and refine its presence across the Maldives and Sri Lanka, while increasing its visibility and desirability in major international markets. Deepak’s leadership has been defined by a strong commitment to people, culture, and talent development, with a clear focus on building high-performing teams as the foundation of sustainable brand growth.
As Group Chief Executive Officer, Deepak will oversee Sun Siyam Group’s diversified portfolio, with responsibility for strategic growth, long-term brand development, and expansion into new concepts and markets.
