ATR and Fly91 extend global maintenance agreement to support regional growth in India

ATR and Fly91 have signed an eight-year Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA), reinforcing the strong partnership established since Fly91’s launch in 2024. The extended agreement will support the airline’s next phase of growth as it expands its ATR 72-600 fleet, which currently stands at four aircraft, with two additional aircraft scheduled for delivery in early 2026.

Fly91 has been a GMA customer since May 2024, benefitting from a comprehensive range of support services including Lease Stock, Standard Exchange and Repair of Line Replaceable Units, as well as propeller availability and maintenance solutions. With aircraft utilisation exceeding 2,500 flight hours per year, the airline has enhanced the scope of the agreement to ensure long-term cost visibility and sustained operational performance as its fleet and network grow.

Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fly91, highlighted the importance of a reliable maintenance partner, noting that ATR’s Global Maintenance Agreement has played a key role in maintaining fleet reliability, even amid global supply chain challenges. He added that predictable maintenance costs are critical for Fly91’s lean and cost-focused operating model, ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest standards for consistent passenger service.

Stefano Marazzani, Senior Vice President Customer Support and Services at ATR, said the renewed agreement reflects ATR’s commitment to supporting Fly91’s growth ambitions. He emphasised that as the aircraft manufacturer, ATR is uniquely positioned to deliver comprehensive maintenance solutions that maximise fleet availability, operational reliability, and long-term sustainability, while providing the cost control essential for scaling operations.

The extended partnership also reflects the growing momentum of regional aviation in India, where turboprops are increasingly recognised as the most efficient solution for strengthening connectivity between smaller cities. As India’s regional air network expands and more communities gain access to air travel, long-term, cost-predictable maintenance solutions like the ATR Global Maintenance Agreement will play a vital role in supporting airlines such as Fly91 in shaping the future of regional mobility.
