Etihad Guest marks a major milestone in India with the addition of five prominent loyalty partners, significantly strengthening the programme’s presence in one of the airline’s fastest-growing markets. The partnerships were officially unveiled at a celebratory event in Mumbai, attended by partners, media, and leading Bollywood personalities.
India has emerged as the fastest-growing membership base for Etihad Guest, which now has over 13 million members globally and continues to add more than 250,000 new members every month. To enhance value for India-based members, Etihad Guest has partnered with leading brands across shopping, dining, hospitality, and travel, allowing members to earn and redeem Miles through everyday lifestyle spending.
Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Etihad Airways, said India is a strategically important market for the airline, supported by 185 weekly flights to 11 gateways across the country. He added that expanding Etihad Guest through meaningful local partnerships reflects the airline’s commitment to enriching the travel and lifestyle experience for Indian members and visitors to India alike.
Among the new partners is BOBCARD Limited, the credit card subsidiary of Bank of Baroda, with whom Etihad Guest has launched a co-branded credit card offering enhanced travel and lifestyle benefits. As part of the launch, new cardholders joining before 28 February will receive double welcome Miles. The card is designed to link everyday spending with premium travel rewards, making international travel more accessible for Indian consumers.
Luxury hospitality brand The Postcard Hotel has also joined Etihad Guest, marking a first-of-its-kind partnership for a Middle Eastern airline. Members can now earn Miles on stays across The Postcard Hotel’s properties in India, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka, with additional rewards for longer stays and a limited-time double Miles promotion for bookings made before 28 February.
Etihad Guest has further partnered with Flipkart, India’s leading e-commerce marketplace, enabling users to convert Flipkart Supercoins into Etihad Guest Miles and vice versa. This upcoming integration will allow millions of users to seamlessly exchange rewards across both platforms.
Adding everyday convenience, Swiggy has joined the programme, offering Etihad Guest members six months of complimentary Swiggy One membership. Members will soon also be able to earn Miles on spends across Swiggy’s food delivery, quick commerce, and dining platforms in over 700 cities nationwide.
Completing the lineup is Shoppers Stop India, making Etihad the first airline to partner with the leading department store chain. As part of the launch, Etihad Guest members can opt in for one year of complimentary Platinum status under the Shoppers Stop First Citizen loyalty programme, with plans to introduce Miles earning on retail spends in the coming months.
These partnerships underline Etihad Airways’ continued investment in India and its commitment to delivering value-driven, experience-rich journeys for Indian travellers. From loyalty collaborations and sports partnerships to locally inspired onboard experiences, Etihad continues to deepen its connection with one of its most important international markets.
