Ascott appoints Rohit Dar as VP & Head of South Asia

The Ascott Limited (Ascott) announces the appointment of Rohit Dar as Vice President & Head of South Asia. In this role, Rohit will spearhead Ascott’s growth strategy and business leadership across South Asia, guiding the company’s expansion in the region while strengthening performance standards and stakeholder partnerships.

With over three decades of leadership experience in the hospitality industry, Rohit brings extensive expertise and a proven track record of delivering strong commercial results across globally respected brands. Prior to joining Ascott, he served as Senior Regional Director of Operations at Hilton India, where he managed a multi-brand portfolio across key markets in South India, driving business growth and deepening owner relationships.

Earlier in his career, Rohit held General Manager positions with Marriott International, leading marquee properties such as The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace and Jaipur Marriott Hotel. He began his hospitality journey with The Oberoi Group, where he spent 18 years across hotel and corporate leadership roles, building a strong foundation in service excellence, performance management and talent development.

The company is expanding its footprint across established gateway cities as well as fast-growing Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, reflecting the region’s evolving travel landscape.
