HRAR elected new leadership for 2026-28 tenure

The 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR) was successfully held at Hilton Jaipur, in the presence of Founder Members, Past Presidents, senior hoteliers, restaurateurs, tourism stakeholders and members from across the State.

During the AGM, the members unanimously constituted the new Executive Committee for the forthcoming term. The newly appointed office bearers are:

* President: Shri Hemant Mittal
* General Secretary: Shri Adhiraj Singh Shahpura (Re-elected)
* Treasurer: Shri Aseem Parakh (Re-elected)
* Joint Secretary: Shri Luv Shekhawat
* Immediate Past President: Shri Tarun Bansal

Addressing the members, outgoing President Shri Tarun Bansal expressed his gratitude to the entire HRAR fraternity for their unwavering support during his tenure. He congratulated the newly constituted Executive Committee and expressed confidence that the Association would continue to grow stronger under its new leadership.

Presenting the Secretary’s Annual Report, General Secretary Shri Adhiraj Singh Shahpura briefly highlighted the Association’s key achievements during the past year. These included a significant increase in membership, effective representation before the Central and State Governments on various policy matters concerning the hospitality industry, skill development initiatives for tourism stakeholders, participation in leading national travel exhibitions, responsible tourism and heritage conservation initiatives, as well as several programmes focused on member engagement and industry development. He acknowledged the collective efforts of the Executive Committee, members and partner organisations, stating that these achievements were the result of teamwork and shared commitment.

Thereafter, Treasurer Shri Aseem Parakh presented the Audited Financial Statements and Annual Accounts for the financial year 2025–26. He provided members with an overview of the Association’s financial performance and activities during the year. The audited accounts were unanimously approved by the House, and members appreciated his efforts in maintaining financial discipline, transparency and sound governance. In recognition of his valuable contribution, Shri Aseem Parakh was unanimously re-elected as Treasurer.

Accepting the responsibility as the newly elected President, Shri Hemant Mittal thanked the members for their confidence and assured them that the new Executive Committee would work with dedication to strengthen HRAR as a progressive, member-centric organisation. He reiterated the Association’s commitment to working closely with the Government, industry stakeholders and tourism bodies to promote sustainable growth and further enhance Rajasthan’s position as one of India’s leading hospitality and tourism destinations.

The members also placed on record their appreciation for the exemplary leadership of Shri Tarun Bansal, acknowledging his contribution towards strengthening unity within the Association, maintaining financial discipline, encouraging transparency and enhancing HRAR’s visibility and representation across the hospitality and tourism sector.

The AGM was graced by the presence of HRAR’s Founder Members, Shri Bhim Singh Rathore (Rajasthan Tours) and Shri Ajay Agarwal (LMB). Also present were the Association’s Past Presidents Shri Apurve Kumar, Chairman, Clarks Group of Hotels, Shri Rishipal Singh, and Shri Kuldeep Singh Chandela, Director, Spice Court. The members expressed their gratitude for their continued guidance, invaluable contribution and unwavering support towards the growth and development of the Association.

A special vote of thanks was extended to Hilton Jaipur, particularly General Manager Shri Rahul Bhagat, Director of Sales Shri Shivendra, and their entire team for their outstanding hospitality, meticulous arrangements and wholehearted support in successfully hosting the 36th Annual General Meeting.

The meeting concluded on a note of unity, optimism and renewed commitment towards the continued growth of Rajasthan’s hospitality and tourism industry. Members extended their best wishes to the newly constituted Executive Committee, reaffirming their collective resolve to further strengthen HRAR and serve the interests of the hospitality fraternity.
