Turtle Down Under (TDU), announces the appointment of Prajna P. Chatterjee as Country Head – India, effective September 2026.
A respected leader in the travel and tourism industry, Prajna brings more than two decades of experience spanning business development, sales, operations, and market expansion. Over the course of her career, she has held senior leadership positions with organisations including Yatra Online, Spring Travels, and Travel Made India, building strong industry relationships and driving business growth across key markets.
Prajna’s appointment comes as TDU continues to strengthen its presence across key international markets, with India being an important part of its wider growth strategy. Her experience and understanding of the Indian travel trade will support TDU in building stronger relationships and creating new opportunities in the market, while contributing to the company’s broader growth.
Her appointment comes at an exciting time for both Turtle Down Under and the Indian travel market. India continues to emerge as one of the fastest-growing outbound travel markets globally, with increasing demand for immersive, high-quality experiences in Australia and New Zealand. In her new role, Prajna will spearhead TDU’s growth strategy across India, focusing on strengthening trade partnerships, expanding the company’s footprint in key cities, identifying new business opportunities, while supporting travel advisors with destination expertise and tailored travel solutions. Her leadership will play a pivotal role in creating stronger connections with the Indian travel trade and further strengthen the company’s presence across Asia, while supporting the continued growth of its other key markets.
