Lemon Tree Hotels expands its presence across key Indian markets with the acquisition of a land parcel in Mumbai and the signing of a new hotel in Telangana.
The company has acquired a 989.3 sq m land parcel in Bandra (East), Mumbai, for ₹120 crore. Lemon Tree Hotels plans to develop a 172-key Lemon Tree Premier on the site, strengthening its portfolio in the city. The upcoming property is expected to cater to business, MICE, leisure and social segments.
The Mumbai development will become Lemon Tree Hotels’ seventh hotel in the city, further expanding the group’s presence in one of India’s key business and leisure markets.
Separately, the company has signed a licence agreement for a 90-room Lemon Tree Hotel in Patancheru, Telangana. The property is planned to feature an all-day dining restaurant, banquet and conference facilities, a swimming pool and a fitness centre.
With the addition of the Patancheru property, Lemon Tree Hotels’ presence in Telangana will grow to eight properties, including four operational and four upcoming hotels.
The latest developments form part of the company’s broader expansion strategy across high-growth business and leisure destinations in India.
