Suite 1925, A Tribute to Joséphine Baker

High above Paris, on the 7th floor of Le Bristol, the 1925 Suite invites guests into a world suspended in time — a refined homage to the exuberance of the Roaring Twenties, seen through the lens of Joséphine Baker. Dancer, activist, icon — and a devoted guest of the hotel — she is the soul of this suite, quietly celebrated through detail and atmosphere.

Imagined as a private Parisian apartment, the suite blends the finest materials in a soft, powdered palette: pale sky, creamy vanilla, soft rose, off-white. Silk, cashmere, and fine cottons mingle in quiet harmony, drawn together by prestigious houses such as Loro Piana, Braquenié, Manuel Canovas, and Pierre Frey. Designed by MM Design, every line is as precise as haute couture — nothing ostentatious, everything intentional.

Suite Paris, At the Summit of Faubourg Saint-Honoré

Tucked away on the 6th floor, the Suite Paris offers a fresh perspective on Parisian elegance. Once home to a monumental artwork by Bertrand Lavier, it now returns to a more classical expression of French living — though never without boldness.

Louis XVI style is subtly refreshed with pastel hues, soft lighting, and graceful lines. Honey-hued oak flooring — crafted by the same artisans who work at Versailles — contrasts beautifully with silk rugs, ochre and blue cushions, and restrained, elegant furniture. The result is a warm, intimate ambiance that feels both timeless and quietly luxurious. Here, materials matter: Pierre Frey fabrics, richly textured curtains, delicately sculpted lighting. But the true masterpiece is the view — an exceptional vantage point over Paris. From its wraparound balcony at the corner of Avenue Matignon and Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the city stretches out in all directions, crowned by the Eiffel Tower in the distance.

Suite Azur, A Dream Between Sky and Garden

A cornerstone of Le Bristol Paris, the Suite Azur has been entirely reimagined — more than renovated, it has been transformed. Now an airy, light-filled apartment floating just above the French Garden, it offers a suspended moment of grace, almost surreal in its tranquility.

The spirit of the South of France is present throughout — not overt, but delicately felt. In the chosen artworks, in the textures, in the palette. A sense of Mediterranean serenity radiates through ceramics, canvases, and lithographs, guided by the vision of artist Agnès Sandahl. Her creations — a dreamlike mural, a ceramic fountain, and a spectacular dining table fired in the same kilns once used by Picasso — give the suite the soul of a lived-in gallery.

The true marvel, however, lies outdoors: a secluded 115-square-meter rooftop terrace. Lush with roses and clematis, it extends the hotel’s garden into the sky — a secret haven where silence and sunlight reign.

Suite Eden, A Secret Garden in the Sky Dedicated to Well-being

Perched atop Le Bristol Paris, the Suite Eden continues the hotel’s transformation for its centenary — a new chapter of serene, elevated luxury. Nestled on the 6th floor, this hidden gem opens onto a lush private terrace, a true secret garden suspended above the city — invisible from the street, unforgettable to those who step inside.

Here, every element is a quiet ode to peaceful luxury. The interior palette of chalk and green tones echoes the garden outside, flowing through textured Schumacher and Braquenié drapes, delicate Pierre Frey cushions, and the soft elegance of a Clarence House sofa embroidered with stylized leaves. Under light from vintage Baguès and Maison Charles fixtures, a bronze console by Osanna Visconti evokes bamboo — a link between art and nature. On the terrace, a lava-stone table by Paola Lenti and Marella Ferrera completes this dreamlike escape.

The Suite’s best-kept secret? A private wellness sanctuary hidden within a glass cube wrapped in greenery — complete with a hammam, sauna, rain shower, jacuzzi, and massage table. Open day and night, it invites total disconnection and inner calm.

Suite Honeymoon, An Escape Above Paris

Perched on the 8th and top floor of Le Bristol Paris, the Honeymoon Suite floats above the city like a private sanctuary in the sky. Facing the horizon, the Eiffel Tower rises gracefully — a timeless backdrop to a suite imagined as a poetic interlude. Here, love, art, and master craftsmanship converge in a delicate, contemporary mise-en-scène that honors the soul of the hotel.

Created by Narcisa and Elvira Oetker in collaboration with Studio Bjorg, this exceptional suite offers a unique dialogue between myth and fine artistry. At its heart, a monumental six-meter mural by artist Dimitri Rybaltchenko unfolds, crafted in papier pierre by the Atelier d’Offard using centuries-old techniques. The scene features Psyche carried by Zephyr, under the watchful eye of Eros, while Socrate — Le Bristol’s beloved cat — floats dreamily above a reimagined Paris. Swallows, symbols of fidelity and freedom, glide across a honeycomb motif that echoes the beehives nestled on the hotel’s rooftop, subtly referencing artisanal precision and poetic detail.

Extending the narrative, the “Zephyr” rug by Rybaltchenko leads into a lounge furnished with ethereal lightness. Overhead, a hand-blown glass chandelier, designed by Studio Bjorg and crafted by Maison Pouenat and Atelier Vertige, catches and reflects light like a floating sculpture.

Suite Impériale, A Collector’s Residence

To celebrate its centennial, Le Bristol Paris invited American pop art icon George Condo to reimagine its most expansive suite: the Imperial Suite. A long-time guest and true admirer of the hotel, Condo found in it more than just a place to stay — it became a creative refuge, a studio, almost a second home.

So attached is the artist to the suite that he often sets up his easel there, painting day and night — even once waking the neighbor below him. Rather than complain, that neighbor — Elvira Oetker, co-owner of Le Bristol — offered him a collaboration. And so, the Suite became a muse, giving rise to a unique conversation between contemporary American art and the finest French craftsmanship.

But perhaps the most captivating part of all is the bedroom-studio — the very place where the artist worked. He promises to return, to add more, perhaps even a bronze or two. Until then, he leaves this advice for enjoying the space to its fullest: “Order the truffled scrambled eggs for breakfast — and have them with a glass of Champagne.”
