The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in partnership with government and private sector organisations, announces the Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025, a celebration of light, faith, and cultural friendship between Thailand and India. The festival will take place from 16–31 October 2025 at Phahurat (Little India) and Khlong Ong Ang, under the theme “Light Unites Us.”
Announced by Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, alongside Police Major General Krit Warit and Ms. Rujira Arin, the event highlights Bangkok’s multicultural identity and aims to strengthen Thai–Indian ties while promoting tourism and cultural exchange.
The opening ceremony on 19 October will feature a candle-lighting ritual, sound-and-light show, and a Thai–Indian Ramayana performance. The Grand Procession of Exquisite Radiance will follow, with illuminated floats, dancers, and musicians honouring Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha.

The India Colour Art Wall and Art Street projects will transform Phahurat and Khlong Ong Ang into vibrant open-air galleries.
To welcome visitors, TAT will operate Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali information counters at Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Phahurat, and Khlong Ong Ang, offering event details, souvenirs, and special privileges.
Supported by Nippon Paint, ICONSIAM, Central Group, The Mall Group, and Robinson, the festival celebrates Thailand’s deep cultural connection with India. From January to September 2025, Thailand welcomed 1.77 million Indian visitors, reinforcing India’s position as one of Thailand’s top five source markets.
