Joy Island Maldives announces the launch of its Seaplane Transfer Service, offering guests an unforgettable aerial journey over the Maldives’ turquoise lagoons and coral atolls. Operated by Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA), the new service connects Joy Island directly to Velana International Airport (Malé) in approximately 25 minutes of scenic flight.
This new transfer option enhances the resort’s arrival experience, allowing travellers to begin their island escape with breathtaking panoramic views of paradise.

Arrival transfers: Guests arriving in Malé after 15:30 hrs are advised to opt for speedboat transfers.

Departure transfers: Seaplanes depart Joy Island between 06:00 hrs and 16:00 hrs, connecting with all international flights departing after 09:00 hrs. Guests with earlier departures are encouraged to choose speedboat transfers for timely connections.
