IndiGo confirms full operational stability and plans for Airbus A321XLR launch

IndiGo, after fully stabilizing its operations since 09 December 2025, has been steadily adding capacity within government guidelines. The airline has been consistently operating 2,100–2,200 flights, carrying over 1 million customers every three days, and flying to all 138 operational destinations across its network while maintaining IndiGo’s standards of on-time performance. The airline confirms it is fully prepared to meet the surge in demand during the holiday season.

Recently, the aviation sector experienced industry-wide disruptions due to dense fog, particularly across northern India. While IndiGo was impacted like all other airlines, operations were effectively managed to maintain stability. With forecasts predicting harsher winter conditions ahead, IndiGo remains committed to minimizing disruptions and ensuring a reliable travel experience for customers.

Looking forward, IndiGo is set to welcome India’s first Airbus A321XLR, which will redefine medium-to-long haul flying in the country and subcontinent. These aircraft will connect Delhi and Mumbai with Athens starting 23 January 2026. The airline is also evaluating additional domestic and international destinations in line with its fleet expansion plans and will provide updates in due course.
