The ninth edition of the AIR iQ Travel Fraternity Cricket League (TFCL) wrapped up on a high note in Guwahati, following four days of competitive cricket from February 12 to 15, 2026. Organised by the Tour Operator Association of Assam (TOAA), the tournament brought together 10 teams representing the travel and tourism fraternity.
AIR iQ returned as the title sponsor for the league, with Udaan Hotels and Resorts as supporting sponsor. The event was further backed by leading industry partners including Thai Airways, IndiGo, and Hyundai.
The four-day sporting event fostered camaraderie among professionals from the travel, tourism, aviation and hospitality sectors, with strong participation from stakeholders across Northeast and East India. The closely fought matches witnessed enthusiastic engagement and competitive spirit throughout the tournament.



The closing ceremony was attended by Ajay Kumar Wadhawan, Executive Director of AIR iQ, along with Dipak Giri, East India Head; Subhajit Gope, North East India Sales Manager; and Sanjay Sarma.
AIR iQ awarded cash prizes ranging from INR 10,000 to INR 15,000 across multiple categories, including Team with the Maximum Average Runs, Best Player of the Tournament, and Player with the Maximum Sixes. Winners also received two-night stay vouchers for a couple at any of AIR iQ’s 24 partner resorts and hotels across Siliguri, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Gangtok, Pelling and Louchung.
Industry associations from the travel and tourism sector expressed appreciation to AIR iQ and Udaan Hotels and Resorts for their continued support in promoting collaboration and engagement within the fraternity. Addressing the gathering, Ajay Kumar Wadhawan thanked the organisers and participating teams, commending the players for their outstanding performances and sportsmanship.
