Dubai’s gateway reaches new heights with record quarter

Dubai International (DXB) achieved a record-breaking Q3 2025, welcoming 24.2 million passengers between July and September – a 1.9% year-on-year increase. Total traffic for the first nine months reached 70.1 million guests, up 2.1%, while twelve-month rolling traffic hit a new high of 93.8 million passengers.

Aircraft movements remained robust, with 115,000 flights in Q3 and 336,000 flights handled in the first nine months, a 2.7% increase year-on-year. The average passengers per aircraft stood at 213.

Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, said: “These results reflect the strength of Dubai’s aviation and tourism sectors and underscore the importance of what comes next. Our vision for Dubai World Central (DWC) goes beyond capacity expansion to reimagine the entire travel experience with technology, sustainability, and superior guest service.”

DXB continues to enhance terminal experiences with new spaces including CB Central, CB East, CB West, and CD Central, offering premium retail, dining, family entertainment, and panoramic views of the airfield.

India remained DXB’s top country market with 8.8 million passengers, followed by Saudi Arabia (5.5M), UK (4.6M), Pakistan (3.2M), and USA (2.4M). Among cities, London (2.8M) led, followed by Riyadh (2.3M), Mumbai (1.8M), Jeddah (1.7M), and New Delhi (1.6M). DXB also serves as a key gateway for outbound tourism to destinations including Malaysia, Vietnam, Czech Republic, Uzbekistan, and Denmark.

Baggage handling and passenger processing remained world-class: 63.8 million bags were handled in nine months, 90% delivered within 45 minutes, with 99.9% accuracy. Passport control and security times consistently remained below industry benchmarks, even at peak volumes.

The record performance reinforces Dubai’s position as a global aviation and economic hub, driving tourism, trade, and investment.
