A Power-packed and exclusive first-ever full-day “Brainstorming Session” of Active Members was organized by IATO yesterday at the Le Meridien, New Delhi on 16th July, 2025 in a Hybrid Mode
Mr. Ravi Gosain, President, Indian Association of Tour Operators apprised that it was truly heartening and encouraging for the IATO EC to see such an overwhelming response, with around 140 active members joining the session from across the country in Hybrid Mode. The strong pan India presence and depth of engagement made this one of the most meaningful sessions in recent times.
Mr. Ravi Gosain informed that members gave their valuable suggestions which are creating hurdles in the growth of Inbound Tourism to India. The discussion included on “Working Together to Strengthen Inbound Tourism” by engaging the concerned Ministries i.e. Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, External Affairs, Home Affairs, Road Transport and Shipping and also Strengthening Relationships with Partners – hotels, airlines, transporters, airports, guides etc.
During the session, this was also highlighted by the members that there is acute shortage of trained/skilled manpower in tourism sector. There is huge potential of generating new jobs in this sector for younger generation including in rural areas. Increase in tourism growth will contribute in the economic development of the country and generate valuable foreign exchange.
Mr. Gosain further added that this was a focused and collaborative meeting aimed at addressing current challenges in the industry and prepare a preliminary document of recommendations and later prepare a unified voice of the industry to be submitted with the Concerned Ministries including PMO office.
