Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) announces the signing of a new Taj hotel on East Coast Road (ECR) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, planned as a greenfield development in collaboration with MGM Healthcare.
Spread across 13 acres of beachfront land, the 151-key Taj ECR Chennai will offer scenic views of the Bay of Bengal and feature an all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a bar, and recreational facilities including Taj’s J Wellness Circle, a gym, and a swimming pool. The property will also provide event and meeting spaces, including two banquet venues of approximately 10,000 and 5,300 sq. ft., multiple meeting rooms, and outdoor beachfront lawns.

With this addition, IHCL’s portfolio in Chennai will expand to 16 hotels, including those currently under development, further strengthening the company’s presence in Tamil Nadu.
