IHCL announces new Taj resort in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan

The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) announces the signing of a new greenfield resort under the Taj brand in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO of IHCL, said, “IHCL has long supported tourism in Rajasthan. Improved connectivity to Sawai Madhopur provides opportunities for hospitality development and easier access to Ranthambore National Park. We are pleased to partner with Vanivinayak Hospitality LLP on this project.”

The upcoming 75-key eco-sensitive wildlife resort, Taj Sawai Ranthambore, is designed to harmonize with its natural surroundings. It will feature suites and villas with private courtyards and plunge pools, an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, bar, safari lounge, meeting spaces, heated swimming pool, J Wellness Circle spa, fitness centre, and salon.

Aligned with IHCL’s ESG+ framework, the property will integrate sustainable initiatives such as solar-powered amenities, rainwater harvesting, and the use of locally sourced materials.

Vibhishek Singh and Abhishek Pal Singh, partners at Vanivinayak Hospitality LLP, said, “We look forward to working with IHCL to develop a wildlife resort in Sawai Madhopur and support sustainable tourism in the region.”

Sawai Madhopur, known for its proximity to Ranthambore National Park, attracts nature and wildlife enthusiasts from around the world.
