IndiGo and Digi Yatra complete app integration to enable seamless boarding pass sharing

IndiGo and Digi Yatra announces the successful completion of an app-to-app integration, allowing passengers to share their boarding passes directly between the two mobile applications. The collaboration aims to enhance convenience and simplify the check-in and boarding experience for travellers using Digi Yatra’s facial biometric technology platform.

With this new feature, IndiGo passengers can now transfer their boarding pass to the Digi Yatra app by selecting “Share with Digi Yatra” within the IndiGo app after completing web check-in—eliminating the need for manual scanning or uploading.

The system has been designed with a strong emphasis on user consent and data privacy. Only essential passenger details are shared with Digi Yatra’s airport verifiers, and the exchange takes place securely and offline via deep linking, without using external servers or cloud storage.

This integration highlights the shared commitment of IndiGo and Digi Yatra to streamline airport processes, enhance passenger experience, and promote digital identity adoption in air travel while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Suresh Khadakbhavi, CEO, Digi Yatra Foundation, said:

“Our goal is to make air travel seamless, secure, and paperless for every passenger. This collaboration with IndiGo is a major step toward that vision. By integrating our platforms, we are enabling travellers to experience faster check-ins, smoother boarding, and greater convenience. As more airlines and airports adopt our ecosystem, we remain committed to driving innovation and supporting India’s journey toward a digitally empowered travel landscape.”
