Israel’s Ministry of Tourism will host 46 tour operators and 11 journalists from around the world at the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM), taking place in Tel Aviv on May 7–8, 2025.
This initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Israel’s position as a leading global tourism destination and to showcase Israel as an open, safe, and welcoming country.
Minister of Tourism Haim Katz said: “Hosting tour operators, particularly those visiting Israel for the first time, is a move that will enhance Israel’s marketing efforts abroad and help build the infrastructure needed to break records in incoming tourism. Their arrival in Israel reflects great confidence in the Israeli tourism product, which offers a unique blend of experiences unmatched anywhere else.”
The guests, most of whom are visiting Israel for the first time, are arriving from 11 countries including the United States, India, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Brazil, France, South Korea, Russia, and Spain, along with journalists representing leading professional travel and tourism media outlets.
The aim of the visit is to allow participants to experience firsthand the sites, flavors, culture, and people that make Israel a destination like no other; to witness the recovery of the tourism industry; and to share their personal and inspiring impressions with the world.
During their stay, guests will explore Israel’s classic tourism routes alongside new attractions and culinary highlights. They will participate in special events such as the IMTM Gala Evening at the Knights’ Halls in Akko (Acre) and take a guided tour of the city. They will also visit key sites in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and the Dead Sea, in collaboration with the Government Company for the Development of Old Akko.
Additionally, the visitors will attend professional meetings with key players in Israel’s tourism industry to foster future business connections.
