Kissimmee unveils new attractions, experiences and global connectivity for 2026

Experience Kissimmee unveils an exciting lineup of new attractions, experiences, accommodations, dining concepts and transportation links set to debut in 2026, reinforcing the destination’s appeal as one of Central Florida’s most dynamic travel hubs.

From groundbreaking theme park attractions to milestone celebrations, Kissimmee continues to evolve with fresh offerings curated in collaboration with local partners across Kissimmee and Central Florida.

New attractions and entertainment
SeaWorld Orlando will debut SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep in 2026, a suspended family-friendly dark ride that takes guests on an immersive underwater journey aboard a submersible, blending adventure, storytelling and education.

LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is preparing to launch Galacticoaster in early 2026, the world’s first indoor, family-friendly space-themed roller coaster. As the largest investment in the resort’s history, the attraction promises an out-of-this-world experience for guests of all ages.

Walt Disney World will introduce several new experiences in 2026. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster will be reimagined as Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, while The Magic of Disney Animation, inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios and Once Upon a Studio, will offer a new family-friendly attraction. Magic Kingdom Park will welcome the return of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad with upgraded tracks, enhanced effects and refreshed storytelling. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Zootopia: Better Together will debut as a new 4D show at the Tree of Life Theater.

Closer to home, the Old Town Entertainment District in Kissimmee will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026 with special events and nostalgic experiences marking four decades of classic Florida charm.

Activities and cultural experiences
The inaugural Florida Children’s Book Festival will take place from February 20–22, 2026, at Orlando Family Stage, featuring storytime readings, creative workshops, author signings and interactive family programming.

Opera Orlando will present its early 2026 MainStage season at Steinmetz Hall, opening with Silent Night (February 6 and 8), followed by The Merry Widow (April 24 and 26), and concluding with A Decade of Divas (May 16), celebrating the company’s 10th anniversary.

ICON Park will welcome a new multi-level Build-A-Bear Workshop flagship store in 2026, offering the classic “make-your-own” experience alongside new interactive and personalised elements.

Accommodation highlights
The ette hotel continues to set the benchmark for luxury hospitality, earning a MICHELIN Key for the second consecutive year for its design-forward approach and elevated service. Meanwhile, the newly opened Kompose Boutique Resort offers a contemporary retreat near Central Florida’s major attractions, featuring a pool, lazy river, wellness amenities, sports courts and vibrant social spaces.

Food and beverage
Experience Kissimmee, in partnership with Atlas Obscura, has launched the Latin Culinary Trail, spotlighting Osceola County’s rich Hispanic and Latino food culture through 20 curated restaurants, cafés and food trucks. The initiative also features digital storytelling through videos, podcasts and recipes.

Columbia Restaurant continues its legacy of serving Spanish Cuban cuisine across Florida, while Kilwins® Celebration introduces new Dubai-inspired chocolates in 2026, expanding its global flavour collection with innovative handcrafted treats.

Transportation connectivity
International access to Kissimmee continues to expand. Iberia launched four weekly non-stop flights between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Madrid in October 2025, creating Orlando’s first direct connection to Spain. In February 2026, ZIPAIR Tokyo will introduce non-stop service between MCO and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport, marking Florida’s first direct link to the Asia-Pacific region.

With new attractions, enhanced connectivity and immersive cultural experiences, 2026 promises to be a landmark year for Kissimmee as it continues to offer travellers fresh reasons to visit and return.
