New Bath Hotel & Spa joins Radisson Individuals, offering heritage and wellness experience in Matlock Bath

New Bath Hotel & Spa has officially joined Radisson Individuals, bringing a heritage-focused hospitality experience to Matlock Bath in the Derbyshire countryside. The 18th-century property combines historic charm with modern comfort across 54 guest rooms designed for relaxation and wellness.

A standout feature is the hotel’s outdoor lido, a naturally heated open-air swimming pool dating back to the 1930s and fed by local mineral spring waters. Set within landscaped gardens, it continues the area’s long tradition of restorative bathing.

The hotel’s spa offers ESPA treatments, a sauna, steam room, and hot tub, catering to both overnight guests and day visitors. Dining options include The Fountain Restaurant, serving locally inspired dishes, and a relaxed bar for light meals and drinks.

For events, the property features The Ballroom, accommodating up to 150 guests, and The Derwent Room, suitable for smaller gatherings of up to 40 participants.

Conveniently located near attractions such as the Peak District Mining Museum, Gulliver’s Kingdom, and the Heights of Abraham, the hotel also offers access to heritage sites including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Arbor Low.

Hotel Manager Suryapal Singh Negi highlighted that joining Radisson Individuals enhances the hotel’s personalised guest experiences while connecting it to the wider Radisson network. Jeop Peeters, Senior Vice President Franchise at Radisson Hotel Group, noted the opening reflects the brand’s focus on destination-led properties rooted in local character.

The dog-friendly hotel is approximately 30 minutes from Derby, an hour from Nottingham or Sheffield, and around two and a half hours by train from London, making it ideal for leisure stays, wellness retreats, and business gatherings.
