Norwegian Cruise Line unveils sun-soaked 2027/28 deployment with Caribbean and Mexican escapes

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announces its highly anticipated 2027/28 Northern Hemisphere winter deployment. The new season promises sun-soaked escapes, culturally enriching itineraries, and unmatched flexibility, allowing guests to design personalised holiday experiences both onboard and ashore.

Building on last month’s announcement of 50 sailings for Norwegian Spirit’s® return to Australia and New Zealand, an immersive Asia season for Norwegian Jade®, and an extended Hawai‘i deployment for Pride of America®, NCL has now launched an additional 320 voyages. These itineraries focus on the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Bermuda, and the Mexican Riviera, bringing the total number of newly released sailings to more than 370 voyages across 50 countries.

For the first time in company history, two of NCL’s award-winning Prima Class ships will homeport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. From November 2027 to April 2028, Norwegian Prima® and Norwegian Viva® will offer seven-day Southern Caribbean itineraries with distinct routes, providing guests access to destinations such as Tortola, St. Maarten, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Aruba, and Curaçao.

Florida will remain a key hub for NCL’s winter operations, with seven ships sailing from Miami, Port Canaveral (Orlando), and Jacksonville. Guests can choose from a wide range of Bahamas, Caribbean, and Panama Canal itineraries, many featuring a stop at NCL’s private island destination, Great Stirrup Cay. The island is set to debut major enhancements, including a new pier, a large heated pool, and the Great Tides Waterpark, elevating the guest experience.

NCL will also continue year-round deployment from Philadelphia, with Norwegian Pearl® offering five- to 12-day itineraries to Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Eastern and Southern Caribbean between October 2027 and April 2028. These voyages include overnight stays in Bermuda and extended Southern Caribbean journeys to destinations such as Barbados, Antigua, and St. Maarten.

On the Gulf Coast, Norwegian Escape® and Norwegian Getaway® will sail seven-day Western Caribbean itineraries from Galveston, Texas, and New Orleans, respectively, visiting popular ports including Cozumel, Roatán, and Harvest Caye in Belize.

From the West Coast, Norwegian Encore® will operate seven-day roundtrip Mexican Riviera cruises from Los Angeles throughout the season, calling at Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta, and offering a wide range of family-friendly attractions and award-winning entertainment.

The expanded deployment also reinforces NCL’s commitment to immersive global exploration, complementing its previously announced long-haul itineraries aboard Norwegian Spirit® and Norwegian Jade®, which include visits to nearly 70 ports, multiple overnight stays, and first-ever calls in destinations such as Esperance, Australia.

With this extensive winter 2027/28 lineup, Norwegian Cruise Line continues to deliver unparalleled choice, destination depth, and memorable cruise experiences for travellers seeking both relaxation and discovery.
