OTM 2026 was successfully held from 5–7 February 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, bringing together the global travel and tourism ecosystem at a time when India has firmly emerged as one of the world’s most strategically important outbound travel markets.
Recognised by NielsenIQ as the Leading Travel Trade Show in India and Asia for two consecutive years, OTM 2026 hosted over 2,200 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, with participation from 45+ National Tourism Organisations. The three-day event welcomed over 50,000 travel trade visitors, including 1,000+ hosted and VIP buyers, marking the most internationally diverse and largest edition of OTM to date.

Global participation and business outcomes
OTM 2026 saw strong representation from Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Americas and Oceania, reflecting both established outbound markets and emerging experiential destinations engaging with India as a priority growth market. Structured engagement remained central to the platform, with 50,000+ pre-scheduled B2B meetings conducted over three days, reinforcing OTM’s positioning as a marketplace focused on measurable business outcomes.
Inaugural programme and leadership dialogue
Day One featured the official inauguration, followed by a VIP walkaround and exhibitor interactions, leading into the flagship session titled “India Takes Its Place on the Global Travel Stage.” The show was inaugurated by Datuk Manoharan Periasamy, Chairman, Tourism Malaysia; Richard Duval, Minister of Tourism of Mauritius; H.E. Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Sarawak; and Hon. Prof. Ruwan Ranasinghe, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Sri Lanka. The session was moderated by Tanya Khanijow.
The afternoon programme included the CEOs’ Lunch and the panel “India at 100 Million: The Global Race to Capture the Next Big Traveller Wave,” featuring destination leaders from Switzerland, Mauritius, the Cayman Islands, Uzbekistan, Malaysia and France. The day concluded with a market-focused discussion on demand and disruption in India’s online travel market with leaders from Cleartrip, MakeMyTrip and Paytm Travel.
OTM Forum and knowledge exchange
The OTM Forum brought together policymakers and senior leaders from across the global travel ecosystem, including representatives from Thomas Cook India, SOTC Travel, TBO.com, Google India, Deloitte, Reliance Industries, Aditya Birla Group, Godrej Industries, VFS Global and IHCL. Sessions explored outbound travel growth, destination competitiveness, aviation connectivity, marketing, technology and the evolving expectations of the Indian traveller.
A key highlight was the session “Unlocking EU–India Opportunities for Tourism and Hospitality,” organised in collaboration with European institutional partners.
Aviation and destination engagement
Highlighting the role of aviation in outbound growth, Malaysia Airlines participated as the Partner Airline at OTM 2026, showcasing its connectivity and India-focused offerings. Several other leading airlines, including Air India, also participated prominently.
With nearly 50 global tourism boards officially present, OTM 2026 reflected the deepest engagement yet between India and the global tourism ecosystem, with many destinations positioning India as a core long-term growth market.
Looking ahead
Across Days Two and Three, the agenda focused on leisure, corporate travel, weddings, marketing, distribution and technology, concluding with the Valedictory and Awards Function.
