Disney Cruise Line announces an all-new, original fireworks spectacular, “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky,” set to debut onboard the Disney Adventure. The new show will transform the night skies above the ship, continuing Disney Cruise Line’s distinction as the only cruise line in the world to present fireworks at sea.
Entertainment icon Shah Rukh Khan will star as the narrator of the new production, bringing his celebrated voice, charisma and storytelling power to the experience. Khan previously voiced Mufasa in the Hindi-language versions of The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa (2024), and now returns to the story in a fresh and imaginative way.
Based on one of Disney’s most beloved films, “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky” is a grand tribute to The Lion King and the joyful rhythms of life. Guests will be invited to gather on deck to enjoy a dynamic blend of fireworks, dramatic lighting and iconic music, creating a shared experience for families and friends of all ages.
The show will feature fan-favourite songs from The Lion King films, including “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” “He Lives in You,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?”. The musical score includes original arrangements recorded by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, complemented by the distinctive harmonies of South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir.

The Disney Adventure is Disney Cruise Line’s first ship to homeport in Asia and will sail three- and four-night voyages featuring days at sea, offering a wide range of onboard entertainment, dining and retail experiences.
