Tomorrowland to hold its first ever Asia festival in Thailand

Global electronic dance music phenomenon Tomorrowland announces that it will host its first-ever full-fledged Asia edition in Thailand this December, marking a major milestone in the festival’s global expansion.

Scheduled to take place from 11 to 13 December in the beach city of Pattaya, the three-day festival is expected to attract more than 50,000 attendees per day. Organisers cited Thailand’s growing influence in music, innovation and experience-driven tourism as key reasons for selecting the country as the host destination.

Founded 20 years ago by Belgian brothers Manu and Michiel Beers, Tomorrowland has evolved into one of the world’s most iconic EDM festivals, renowned for its elaborate stage designs, immersive storytelling and world-class line-ups. While the Tomorrowland Group has previously staged events in select Asian cities, this marks the first time the festival will bring a complete, large-scale edition—comparable to its flagship Belgian event—to the Asian continent.

Pre-registration for tickets opens on 8 January. A three-day “Full Madness Pass” will be priced at 12,500 baht, while single-day passes will be available at 5,100 baht. Further details regarding the festival’s theme and artist line-up will be announced in the coming weeks.

Thailand has reportedly finalised a five-year agreement with Tomorrowland to host the festival, with projections indicating an economic impact of approximately 21 billion baht over the period.

Commenting on the announcement, Tomorrowland Chief Executive Officer Bruno Vanwelsenaers said, “Expanding Tomorrowland to a new continent is a milestone we approach with great respect and excitement. This is the beginning of a long-term story.”

The announcement further strengthens Thailand’s position as a rising hub for global live music events. In recent years, the country has hosted major international festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival and Creamfields, welcomed global tours including Blackpink’s world tour, and seen the rapid rise of its homegrown festival Wonderfruit as a key attraction on the international festival circuit.
