Tripura launches new tourism and infrastructure projects

The Government of India, in collaboration with the Tripura government inaugurated several key projects worth ₹365 crore aimed at improving connectivity, tourism, and regional development in the state.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha flagged off projects including new and upgraded roads linking remote villages and tourist sites, as well as solar energy initiatives under the PM‑DevINE scheme. These projects are expected to boost tourism to cultural and heritage sites like Chabimura, generate local employment, and improve access to essential services.

Shri Scindia emphasized that Tripura is emerging as a gateway to the Northeast and a hub for tourism, trade, and cultural exchange. The government reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development and investment in the region.
