Visit Qatar successfully concluded its three-city India roadshow in January 2026, reaffirming India’s position as a priority source market and a key contributor to Qatar’s sustained tourism growth. Held across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kolkata, the roadshow engaged leading travel trade partners in three strategically important Indian cities.
With outbound travel demand from India expanding across leisure, luxury, wellness and experiential segments, the roadshow focused on strengthening trade relationships and reinforcing Qatar’s appeal as a flexible, short-haul destination suited to diverse Indian traveller profiles.
The roadshow showcased Qatar’s diverse tourism offerings through participation from 18 partners, including luxury hotels and resorts, wellness retreats, DMCs and travel service providers. Together, they highlighted the destination’s wide-ranging experiences—from beachfront resorts and urban luxury to cultural districts, desert adventures and purpose-built wellness retreats.
Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, Chief Executive Officer of Visit Qatar, said India continues to be a priority market, supported by strong bilateral ties and growing awareness of Qatar’s depth of experiences. He emphasized the importance of working closely with Indian travel professionals to deliver meaningful, itinerary-led experiences for travellers.
In 2025, Qatar welcomed over 430,000 visitors from India, driven by strong aviation connectivity with multiple daily flights from major Indian cities to Doha. Ongoing collaboration with travel trade and hospitality partners, as well as industry bodies, continues to support targeted destination marketing and sustained engagement.
The roadshow enabled focused dialogue with the travel trade, positioning Qatar beyond a stopover destination and highlighting its ability to cater to varied travel styles, durations and budgets. As 2026 progresses, Visit Qatar remains committed to long-term relationship building, consistent storytelling and collaborative growth in the Indian market, reinforcing Qatar’s position as a year-round destination offering ease of access and diverse, high-quality experiences.
