We are pleased to inform you that Air India and Air India Express have introduced a Special Excess Baggage Allowance for foreign tourists travelling on group bookings made through IATO Members on IATO’s request.
This facility has been extended exclusively for IATO Members for their group bookings to enable foreign nationals to avail excess baggage allowance, while ensuring the necessary authorisation, validation, and accounting controls.
Eligible requests, upon verification and approval by Air India/Air India Express, will be entitled to a 50% discount on the prevailing excess baggage charges, subject to the applicable terms and guidelines prescribed by the airline.

Important Note:
Please note the following:-
- This Special Excess Baggage Allowance is not applicable for FITs (Foreign Independent Travellers) bookings, as Air India/Air India Express already provide a fare family for each RBD in domestic i.e. Value, Classic and Flex so the baggage entitlement is 15/20 and 25kgs respectively.
- Above Special Baggage Allowance can be availed through authorized ticketing agent of Air India/Air India Express who are members of IATO.
- Above offer will not be applicable on any booking made directly with Air India/Air India Express or through the Air India / Air India Express website.
