Tourism Pahang successfully launches the Pahang Roadshow to India 2025 today in New Delhi, marking a strong start to its two-city promotional mission in India.
The event began with a well-attended press conference, which attracted around 30 leading media outlets, including representatives from mainstream print, digital, and broadcast channels. This overwhelming response from India’s media underscores the rising curiosity and attention towards Pahang as a preferred travel destination for Indian travellers.
Following the media engagement, the B2B session recorded an impressive turnout of over 150 leading tour operators, travel agents, MICE operators, and airline representatives. This high-level participation reflects the strength of India’s outbound market and the growing demand for new and diverse Malaysian destinations.
The Pahang delegation was led by:
• YB Puan Leong Yu Man, Chairman, Pahang State Committee on Unity, Tourism & Culture
• YB Arumugam A. Veerappa Pillai, Member of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly
• Mr. Kamaruddin bin Ibrahim, General Manager, Tourism Pahang
• Ms. Nalini Letchumanon, Senior Manager, Promotion & Event Management, Tourism Pahang
They were joined by more than 15 sellers from Pahang, representing hotels, resorts, DMCs, and tourism product owners across the state.
Speaking at the event, YB Puan Leong Yu Man said:
“India is one of Malaysia’s most important markets, and today’s strong turnout shows how much Indian travellers value Pahang. Beyond well-known destinations like Genting Highlands and Cameron Highlands, we are here to introduce the lesser-travelled gems of Pahang such as Tioman Island, Cherating Beach, Fraser’s Hill, and Taman Negara. We are confident that these offerings will appeal to Indian families, honeymooners, MICE groups, and even luxury wedding planners.”
The roadshow also highlighted opportunities in eco-tourism, rail tourism, destination weddings, and MICE, with tailored packages and co-marketing opportunities presented exclusively to Indian travel partners.
The next stop of the Pahang Roadshow 2025 will take place in Chennai on 26 September 2025, where similar media engagements and B2B networking sessions are expected to further strengthen the state’s tourism ties with India.
