Tourism Australia announces the appointment of Maishaa Mukadam as the new Business Development Manager – India, based in Mumbai.
In her new role, Maishaa will focus on driving distribution and partnerships with key distribution and aviation partners, overseeing Business Events, and promoting the Aussie Specialist Programme in the Indian market.
Maishaa brings over 17 years of experience in destination marketing, travel distribution, and business events (MICE). Throughout her career, she has held significant roles with leading organisations such as Singapore Tourism Board, Thomas Cook, GlobalTix, Cipla Pharmaceuticals, Fountainhead, and Apavou Hotels.
Tourism Australia, the tourism promotion organisation of Australia, highlighted that India continues to be one of its fastest-growing tourism markets, with visitor numbers projected to reach nearly 650,000 annually by 2030.
Mukadam’s appointment underscores Tourism Australia’s commitment to strengthening its presence and partnerships within India’s thriving travel and tourism sector.
