MGallery, in partnership with Patience Capital Group, announces the signing of Madarao Kogen Hotel and Lime Resort Myoko in Japan, marking a significant expansion of the MGallery Collection in the country’s renowned alpine regions.

The collaboration with Patience Capital Group — a leading real estate and private equity investment management firm with a strong portfolio of tourism assets across Japan — underscores a shared commitment to developing authentic, nature-driven destinations that blend design, culture, and sustainability.
Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems, said, “Madarao Kogen Hotel and Lime Resort Myoko joining the MGallery Collection represents a new phase for our brand in Asia — destinations where nature, design, and culture come together. In partnership with Patience Capital Group, we look forward to introducing MGallery’s approach to meaningful travel in the Japanese mountains.”
Madarao Kogen Hotel – MGallery Collection
Located within the Japan Alps in Nagano Prefecture, the Madarao Kogen Hotel will be the first MGallery property in this celebrated snow region. Following a complete renovation, the hotel is set to reopen in late 2027 with 80 guest rooms and suites inspired by both Alpine and Japanese design. Plans include multiple dining venues, a pool bar, onsen baths, conference facilities, and a ski rental centre, offering guests a balance of leisure, wellness, and adventure.

Lime Resort Myoko – MGallery Collection
Situated near Mt. Myoko within Myoko-Togakushi Renzan National Park, Lime Resort Myoko will provide a wellness-focused retreat. Scheduled to reopen in winter 2026, the property will feature 38 guest rooms, onsen facilities, a fitness centre, dining outlets, and a kids club, designed to connect guests with nature and tranquillity.

A connected mountain experience
Located just 30 minutes apart, both resorts will be linked by a shuttle service, offering seamless access to Patience Capital Group’s nearby leisure assets, including Myoko Suginohara Ski Resort and Nagano Dunes Golf Club. Guests can also explore nearby cultural and natural landmarks such as Togakushi Shrine, Naenataki Falls, and Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park.
Commitment to sustainable development
Renovation plans for both resorts will prioritise sustainability through the use of local materials, energy-efficient technologies, and eco-conscious design.
Ken Chan, Founder, CEO and CIO of Patience Capital Group, said, “Our partnership with Accor reflects a shared belief in the long-term growth of mountain tourism in Japan. Together, we aim to develop Myoko and Madarao into four-season destinations that celebrate nature, culture, and hospitality.”
Xavier Grange, Chief Development Officer, Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems, added, “Following the opening of our first MGallery in Sapporo last year, these new additions strengthen our presence in Japan and reflect MGallery’s philosophy of creating hotels deeply connected to their surroundings.”
With over 120 hotels worldwide, MGallery continues to expand across distinctive destinations. The new properties in Myoko and Madarao will join Hôtel Sosei Sapporo – MGallery Collection, which opened in 2024, further establishing the brand’s footprint in Japan and the Asia Pacific region.
