Vietjet Air is expanding its international footprint with the launch of a new air service connecting Hanoi and Prague, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s long-haul growth strategy and strengthening connectivity between Southeast Asia and Central Europe. The route is scheduled to begin operations from October 2026 using Airbus A330 aircraft.
The service will provide improved travel access between Vietnam and the Czech Republic while supporting tourism, trade, business travel, and cultural exchange between the two regions. Industry experts believe the route will also create stronger connectivity opportunities for travellers across Southeast Asia seeking access to European destinations.
Travel trade stakeholders note that the launch reflects growing demand for direct and efficient international air links as global travel continues to recover and expand. The new service is also expected to strengthen Prague’s visibility within Asian tourism markets while supporting inbound visitor growth into Europe.
The route forms part of Vietjet’s broader international expansion strategy aimed at increasing long-haul connectivity and strengthening its presence across global aviation markets.
