Accor announces the promotion of Balvinder Sahrawat as Vice President – Development, South Asia. The appointment marks a significant milestone in his 17-year journey with Accor, during which he has progressed from evaluating real estate investments to leading the Group’s development strategy across South Asia.
With extensive experience spanning real estate investment, hospitality operations, and business development, Sahrawat brings a commercially driven and owner-centric perspective to portfolio growth. Over the years, he has built strong relationships with owners, developers, investors, and partners across South Asia’s diverse hospitality landscape.
As a member of the South Asia Leadership Team, Sahrawat will spearhead Accor’s development strategy across the region. In his new role, he will drive portfolio expansion across market segments, accelerate new signings, strengthen owner and partner relationships, and ensure the strategic placement of Accor’s brands in high-potential destinations.
Throughout his tenure, Sahrawat has played a pivotal role in expanding Accor’s footprint across India and South Asia. He has led strategic business development initiatives, including greenfield projects, real estate acquisitions, and network expansion opportunities. Through franchise agreements and management contracts, he has successfully overseen the signing and development of numerous properties, significantly contributing to the Group’s regional growth while fostering long-term stakeholder partnerships.
