A hospitality professional with more than two decades of experience, Ajit brings a strong track record of operational leadership, commercial acumen and talent development. His career spans hotel leadership roles across renowned hospitality brands including The Oberoi Group, Taj Hotels, Marriott and The Lalit, with experience across luxury, leisure, corporate and MICE segments.
Prior to this appointment, Ajit served as General Manager at Hyatt Centric Dehradun, where he successfully led the hotel with a focus on operational excellence, colleague engagement and guest satisfaction. His leadership has earned industry recognition, including the Iconic General Manager of the Year 2025 award by Times Hospitality Icons and the Top 20 General Managers – People’s Choice Awards in both 2024 and 2025.
At Hyatt Centric Sector 17 Chandigarh, Ajit’s focus will be on enhancing the hotel’s lifestyle positioning through elevated guest experiences, innovative food and beverage offerings, and deeper connections to the city’s culture and social scene. A particular area of focus will be the continued evolution of the hotel’s culinary and nightlife experiences, including KOYO KOYO, the hotel’s contemporary Asian dining restaurant and PVT LTD, its intimate speakeasy known for innovative cocktails and immersive experiences.
