Ayodhya expects 8-10 fold surge in tourism

Food service chains and FMCG corporations are swarming Ayodhya ahead of the consecration of the Ram temple on January 22. They predict a spike in tourism and a ten- to eight-fold increase in the city’s floating population. It is anticipated that this rise will accompany Ayodhya’s entire development and global branding.

Bisleri International, the largest mineral water manufacturer in India, is strategically establishing a new factory in Ayodhya, anticipating an increase in customer demand following the consecration of the Ram temple. According to ET, Bisleri International CEO Angelo George stated that the plant will meet the growing demand from Uttar Pradesh’s surrounding regions.

Historical sites are in high demand, according to sources included in the survey. The number of visitors to Ayodhya increased from 325,000 in 2021 to 23.9 million the following year, according to data from the UP Tourism Department.
