The CHHATTISGARH travel trade Association organised a one-day seminar on 16 September at the fairway golf resort in Naya Raipur. The title of the event was Travel industry in Chhattisgarh; Past Present and The road ahead.
The main attraction of the event was the session in which the veterans of the travel industry in Chhattisgarh addressed the audience and shared their experiences of the industry accumulated over the past three decades. Mr Kirti Vyas from Vyas travels and Mr Bharat Dev from Dev Travels services were the speakers at the event and it was moderated by Jaspreet Bhatia of Ice Cubes Holidays. Mr Vyas and Mr Dev shared great insights on various best practises and advise the young entrepreneurs to not to shy away from the struggle and hard work and specifically Mr Dev also spoke about the importance of technology and adopting the best accounting practices in the travel businesses.
There was a product presentation of the fairway golf resort. This beautiful property has an 18 holes golf resort and is one of the most premier destination for mice and golf tournaments in central India. It has 42 rooms and state of the art MICE amenities. There was a presentation on the activities and importance of the objectives of CGTTA .
This was first of its kind event to take place in Raipur where almost 50 travel agents from city‘s like RAIPUR Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon, Bhilai , Durg Jagdalpur, Korba, were present networked with each other. Representatives of the Indigo airlines and Indian airlines were also present in the event .
The audience were briefed about the various initiatives taken by CGTTA in the past and also about the upcoming activities which included the organising of a Regional Travel Mart focusing on the requirements of the local travel trade partners.
