The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India is participating in the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, being held from 4th–6th November at ExCeL London. The Indian delegation includes nearly 30 stakeholders, comprising State Governments, UT Administrations, inbound tour operators, and IRCTC, showcasing India’s vibrant cultural diversity, tourism products, and immersive travel experiences.
With its rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and growing portfolio of spiritual, adventure, and wellness tourism, India invites global travellers to discover a renewed, world-class experience. The country’s participation at WTM underscores its commitment to enhancing global tourism partnerships and attracting more international visitors.
The India Pavilion was inaugurated on 4th November by the Deputy High Commission of India to the United Kingdom along with the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, in the presence of Smt. Diya Kumari, Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, and Tourism Ministers from Goa, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh.
Participating State Tourism Departments include Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi, Chandigarh, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, all showcasing their unique tourism offerings and connecting with global partners.
India welcomed 20.57 million international tourist arrivals in 2024, with strong growth from major markets such as the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, and Canada. The UK, USA, and Australia remain among India’s top source countries for inbound tourism.
As global travel recovery gains momentum, WTM London 2025 provides an ideal platform for India to reinforce its presence on the world tourism map. According to the World Economic Forum Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index 2024, India ranks 39th among 119 countries, reflecting its growing stature as a leading global travel destination.
