Indian travellers will not be permitted to disembark in Sri Lanka

As the coronavirus continues to rage all across India, Sri Lanka has decided to restrict travellers coming from India. The decision has been taken in order to curb the spread of the new variant of COVID-19 that is highly contagious. The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka in a statement said, “In accordance with the instructions received from Health authorities of Sri Lanka due to the pandemic situation, it is hereby directed that passengers travelling from India will not be permitted to disembark in Sri Lanka with immediate effect.”

Previously, Sri Lanka had put a cap on the number of air passengers that were allowed to come into the country. The authorities had taken the decision to reduce the number of passengers to 75 for a flight.
