Introducing the Utah Film Trail, starring Utah’s iconic landscapes

Utah, famously known as America’s Film Set®, has long been the backdrop for some of Hollywood’s most celebrated films and television shows. With over 100 years of film history, the state now invites film enthusiasts from around the world to step into the scenes of their favorite productions through the newly launched Utah Film Trail.

Introduced by the Utah Film Commission, in collaboration with the Utah Office of Tourism, the Utah Film Trail is a first-of-its-kind initiative that brings cinematic storytelling to life. A series of physical markers have been placed across the state at iconic filming locations, allowing visitors to explore the real-world settings of legendary movies and shows.

“Utah is known as America’s Film Set for a reason,” said Virginia Pearce, Director, Utah Film Commission. “Our iconic landscapes are famous for making movie magic. Now, the Utah Film Trail will take you off the beaten path to discover the settings of made-in-Utah films and television shows you’ve fallen in love with.”
