The Government of Jharkhand announces that it will organise a two-day National Stakeholders Consultation in New Delhi on July 8–9, 2026, aimed at accelerating the state’s long-term Vision 2050 roadmap through strategic investments, policy reforms, digital transformation, and tourism development. Jointly organised by the Departments of Information Technology, Industries, and Tourism, the consultation will bring together policymakers, investors, industry leaders, technology experts, and development partners from India and abroad to deliberate on Jharkhand’s future growth strategy.
Ahead of the event, Chief Minister Hemant Soren met with Pooja Singhal, Secretary, Information Technology Department, and Arava Rajkamal, Secretary, Industries Department, who formally invited him to attend the consultation as the Chief Guest. Rajeev Lochan Baxi, Special Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department, was also present during the meeting.
The consultation is designed to position Jharkhand as a preferred destination for investment across Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Governance, Industrial Development, and Tourism. As part of the programme, the Government will unveil several draft policy frameworks for stakeholder consultation, including the Draft Jharkhand AI Policy, Draft Jharkhand Investment Promotion Policy, Draft Jharkhand Tourism Policy, Draft Jharkhand Textile Policy, Draft JIADA Regulations, and the Draft Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Policy, along with other policy initiatives. Industry representatives will be invited to provide feedback before these policies are finalised.
The Government believes the consultation will play a significant role in attracting quality investments, strengthening innovation, promoting ease of doing business, and generating new employment opportunities. The initiative also supports the state’s vision of “Explore Infinite Opportunities” while reinforcing Jharkhand’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive economic development.
The event builds on the momentum generated by Jharkhand’s participation at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where the state showcased its investment potential before a global audience. The Government aims to convert these engagements into long-term partnerships that contribute towards achieving the objectives outlined under Vision 2050.
Day One: Digital Governance, IT And AI
The opening day will feature a high-level session on Digital Governance and IT Infrastructure, where senior government officials, technology companies, and policy experts will discuss opportunities to strengthen Jharkhand’s digital ecosystem through investments in IT infrastructure, Artificial Intelligence, digital governance, and emerging technologies.
This will be followed by dedicated Business-to-Government (B2G) interactions between government representatives and leading companies from the IT and technology sectors, providing a platform to explore collaboration and investment opportunities.
A special session titled “Shaping Jharkhand’s AI Future” will focus on the state’s proposed AI policy and its long-term vision for adopting Artificial Intelligence across governance and industry. During the session, the Information Technology Department is also expected to sign several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading technology companies.
Day Two: Investment, Tourism And Industrial Growth
The second day will centre on Investment and Inclusive Development, with a dedicated focus on tourism and industrial promotion. The Government will present Jharkhand’s diverse tourism assets—including its cultural heritage, eco-tourism destinations, natural landscapes, and adventure tourism opportunities—to domestic and international investors with the objective of attracting greater investment into the tourism sector.
A dedicated stakeholder consultation on Industrial Promotion and Investment will examine strategies for establishing new industries, improving industrial infrastructure, and enhancing the state’s competitiveness as an investment destination. The Government will also sign several strategic MoUs with leading industrial groups to accelerate economic development across Jharkhand.
In addition, several draft policy frameworks and new digital portals aimed at improving governance, investor facilitation, and ease of doing business will be officially launched during the consultation.
The two-day programme will conclude with a cultural showcase celebrating Jharkhand’s rich heritage through traditional music, dance, and cultural performances. The closing ceremony will offer delegates, investors, policymakers, and international participants an opportunity to experience the state’s cultural identity while strengthening collaboration and engagement with key stakeholders.
