The government would invest 300 crore rupees in Alliance Air

According to a top source, the government plans to invest 300 crore INR in regional carrier Alliance Air, which is struggling financially. The federal government-created special purpose entity AI Assets Holding (AIAHL) currently owns Alliance Air, which was once a component of Air India. Alliance Air conducts around 130 flights per day and is headed for disinvestment. Pilots have taken to the streets in recent months to demonstrate against, among other things, the non-payment of allowance and the failure to restore wages to their pre-Covid levels. The equity infusion’s precise specifics weren’t immediately available.
