The Peninsula Hotels announces the premiere of its annual festive film, The search for Santa—a heartwarming story celebrating childhood wonder, sibling bonds, and the magic of the holiday season. Filmed at The Peninsula London, the short film invites viewers to experience the brand’s signature hospitality through the imaginative eyes of a child.
This year’s film follows a determined young girl on a whimsical quest to find Santa Claus after spotting clues of his presence across The Peninsula’s 12 iconic properties. With the help of one of the hotel’s beloved Peninsula Pages—and dressed as one herself—she embarks on an amusing adventure through the hotel’s corridors, kitchens, and hidden corners in search of the man in red.

The film marks The Peninsula’s second annual festive release, following last year’s Santa & The Peninsula London Save Christmas, which featured a Peninsula Page assisting Santa in delivering gifts around London in a classic Peninsula-green 1960 Austin Taxi after his sleigh broke down.
Created and produced in collaboration with Petroleum & Co, the new film opens inside the Belgravia Suite, transformed into a Santa-tracking headquarters complete with clues, drawings, photos, and notes. From there, the young heroine and her Page companion follow playful hints—bells, green suits, and magical whispers—throughout the hotel.
“At The Peninsula, we believe that the most meaningful luxury lies in creating memorable moments that stay with our guests long after they leave,” said Carson Glover, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing and Communications. “The search for Santa captures that spirit through the eyes of a child, reminding us that joy comes from doing something special for someone else. It reflects how our teams go above and beyond to create experiences that feel personal, warm, and magical, especially during the holidays.”
The film premiered on 18 November during The Peninsula London’s annual festive tree lighting ceremony and has since launched across The Peninsula Hotels’ website, social media channels, and YouTube.
The film’s wardrobe was generously provided by Valentino and Harvey Nichols for women’s styling, Trotters for childrenswear, and Huntsman for men’s tailoring—including a bespoke Santa suit crafted exclusively for The Peninsula London. Select scenes were also filmed at the historic Wellington Arch with support from English Heritage.
The search for Santa is part of The Peninsula’s wider festive programme for 2025, which brings together cherished traditions and new seasonal offerings across its global properties. Highlights for younger guests include the Toy Hospital at The Peninsula Tokyo, rooftop ice-skating at The Peninsula Chicago’s Sky Rink, and daily screenings of classic Christmas films with treats at The Peninsula London’s private cinema. These experiences—and many others—reflect the enduring traditions that make The Peninsula a beloved home for guests during the festive season.
