The upcoming inauguration of Noida International Airport on March 28 is set to significantly boost the real estate landscape of eastern NCR, with developers and industry stakeholders describing the project as a major catalyst for property demand in the region.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the state government has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the airport. “We have sent an invitation to PM Modi requesting him to inaugurate Jewar airport on March 28,” he said.
The airport is expected to enhance regional connectivity across the National Capital Region, particularly along key infrastructure corridors such as the Yamuna Expressway and the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Improved accessibility is anticipated to accelerate both residential and commercial developments in nearby areas, strengthening their appeal as emerging real estate hubs.
Historically, the NCR real estate market has been dominated by Gurugram, known for its established corporate ecosystem and premium housing. In contrast, Noida has been regarded as a more affordable and steadily developing alternative. However, with transformative infrastructure projects such as the Jewar airport nearing completion, the region is witnessing a shift in perception, positioning Noida and the eastern NCR as key growth drivers in the evolving real estate landscape.
