On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR) celebrated the spirit of tourism by felicitating two distinguished personalities from the tourism fraternity at the HRAR Pavilion during Melange 3.0, Mumbai.
Shri Subhash Goyal, Founder Chairman of STIC Travel Group and veteran tourism industry leader, was felicitated with a traditional Rajasthani stole in recognition of his immense contribution to India’s travel and tourism sector. Shri Goyal also served as President of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) for six consecutive years from 1995 to 2000 and has contributed to several government and industry bodies.
HRAR also felicitated Shri Pawan Goyal, Additional Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, by presenting him with an exquisite Rajasthani blue pottery artefact, symbolising the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Rajasthan.
The felicitations were led by Shri Adhiraj Singh Shahpura, Secretary, HRAR; Shri Aseem Parakh, Treasurer, HRAR; and Shri Rajendra Singh Jodha, Treasurer, FHTR, along with all HRAR members and participating exhibitors present at the pavilion.
The occasion was particularly significant as it coincided with World Tourism Day, making the felicitation a tribute to the individuals and institutions contributing to the growth of tourism, travel and hospitality.
HRAR expressed its gratitude to both Shri Subhash Goyal and Shri Pawan Goyal for their valuable contribution and continued support to the tourism fraternity, while reaffirming its commitment to strengthening collaboration among the government, travel trade and hospitality industry for the promotion of Rajasthan tourism.
