Resorts are learning a new language today, one written in walks through coffee estates, boat rides across quiet backwaters, and breakfasts served whenever a guest wakes up ready for them. Digvijay Diwakar, Director, Diverse Hotels Pvt. Ltd., spoke about the brand’s growing focus on experience-based resorts.

Diverse Hotels Pvt. Ltd. has been listening closely to this language, and it shows in the way the group is shaping its road ahead. Today’s traveller arrives with homework already done, and that changes everything about how a resort must show up for them.
The traveller who already knows
Digvijay shares, “Today’s travellers are well informed about the resort and the destination. They know exactly what they are looking for from this holiday, and they keep taking their short breaks to unwind themselves,” he shares.
Understanding this mindset, he adds, “This is what allows the group to deliver experiences that genuinely meet expectations rather than simply meet a checklist. This, in turn, builds the kind of loyalty that benefits travel trade partners and the resorts. Small, thoughtful touches carry this philosophy forward across the portfolio, from farm to fork experiences at Aamaghati Wildlife Resort to an intertidal walk at Barefoot Andaman, a night safari within the resort premises, a coffee plantation walk at The Serai Chikmagalur, a boat ride at The Serai Kabini, and an anytime breakfast offering at The Earth Maison Ocean Resort, Goa.”
Homegrown holidays take the lead
Domestic leisure travel has found fresh momentum, and Digvijay credits much of this energy to a renewed pride in exploring India. He shares, “Domestic leisure is showing the strongest growth, along with MICE and social business. People are discovering corners of their own country with genuine curiosity, and this appetite has opened doors for boutique and experience-led properties to flourish well beyond the usual metro circuits. Rural and semi-urban locations, once considered off the beaten path, are now emerging as thriving business destinations.”
Trade ties that travel far
Travel agents and tour operators remain central to how Diverse Hotels builds its business, and Digvijay is clear about the value this channel brings. “Travel trade is a key segment, and it is very important to us, as these are the strongest channel partners in business. Our approach rests on building a relationship where both sides gain equally. Extending consistent support to trade partnerswhich creates a foundation where growth becomes shared rather than one sided, strengthening trust that lasts well beyond a single booking cycle,” he says.
Room for every dreamer
Looking at the wider hospitality landscape, Diwakar sees abundant room for hotels willing to bring the right energy to the table. “There are enough opportunities for everyone with the right attitude in the market, and it is only growing day by day,” he affirms. Emerging markets, in his view, reward those who approach guests with genuine intent and a willingness to craft something memorable, regardless of scale or location.
A journey still unfolding
Diverse Hotels appears to be reading the traveller of today with real attention, translating that understanding into resorts that feel personal, moments that feel earned, and partnerships that feel lasting. As Digvijay’s outlook suggests, this is a story with plenty of chapters still to be written, each one shaped by curiosity, hospitality, and a shared sense of possibility.
